The Alvin Rotary Club hosted the 32nd annual
Frontier Day Celebration on Saturday, April 26th, 2008.
The full day of events began with a parade through the old downtown area
of Alvin. Special activities were held throughout the day, including two famous "shoot-out performances performed by the Alvin Rotary Club Gunfighters."
Nearby midway rides, food concessions, and carnival activities ran concurrent
with the Arts, Crafts & Collectibles Festival.
An Antique and Collectible Car and Bike Show was added
to Frontier Day for the first time this year. Frontier Day brings many people to downtown Alvin and most
return year after year to enjoy the carnival atmosphere and full day of activities.
Proceeds support scholarships and other charitable activities in the Alvin area.
